Today’s Scripture… “So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming
I would have received back my own with interest.” – Matthew 25:27
Thoughts for Today… He headed into town with one thing on his mind… to invest everything he had worked his entire life for. Some called it risky. Others said it was downright unthinkable. Here was a man
willing to put all that he had into a single investment. He had done his research. Knew exactly what he was doing and by the time he reached the place to lay it all down, he had made up his mind completely. There was no turning back. He walked up the short incline, made his way through the crowd and walked slowly up to the appointed place to hand everything over. In a move that would have made Wall Street shudder and look the other way, the man stretched out his hand and deposited everything he had in his possession.
And with his hands stretched out, Jesus made an investment in YOUR life. Yes, some called it a risky investment. Others said it was unthinkable that the Savior of the world would die for a sinner. But, Jesus had done His research. He knew what it would take to buy your salvation. And He willingly gave
everything He had, His very life, to provide the forgiveness you needed. You were worth it all to Him. Your value to the Savior is beyond measure, because His life is priceless, and He was willing to give it away to have a relationship with you.
Yes, when Jesus walked into the “bank” at Calvary, and stretched out His hands on the cross and deposited His very life, He made an INVESTMENT in YOUR life.
I wonder, have you shown any INTEREST lately?
